Last night we went on our annual trip to Hollywild with our friends, Meg and Michael. We started the evening with a trip to my favorite, Chick Fil A...then a quick trip to Publix to get carrots! Then onto Hollywild we went...
Of course the place was decked out with Christmas lights,

but the real reason we went was the REINDEER FIELD!
Which interestingly enough had some animals besides reindeer...

We've learned from past years that there are some necessary items to have with you
- gloves - because it is super cold (like 36 degrees) to have your hands out feeding the animals
- blankets - to cover our legs while we are in the back with the hatch open
- jackets - the heat is going straight out the car
- and of course, the carrots!
The first animal we came across was the extremely large cow. Please notice how tall he is....taller than the explorer...he bent his head down, so you could see his eye!

I don't know what is going on in this picture...it looks like he is eating my hair, which I assure you he wasn't. However, this particular cow was rather stinky, so the boys did not let us feed him for too long.
We then found the zebra and zonkey...at least that's what everyone else was calling this donkey with zebra legs!

They LOVED our carrots! We started to feel guilty about all the attention they were giving us while ignoring all the other cars, so we stopped feeding them.
One our way home we missed a turn, the same turn we miss every year, at which point we tried to figure out how many years it had been...4 is the number we came up!

Jane - your look scared of the zebra. It's just a little horse with stripes.
